Taking the Heat off Arnold Road Basic School

Our passion for educational wellness took us to the Arnold Road Basic School on July 9, 2014. The school currently serves 300 students supported by 4 teachers. While the school’s infrastructure is sturdy and the classrooms fairly spacious, there exists a major challenge. The team experienced firsthand the heat radiating from the zinc roof, which bears down on occupants of the classrooms. The windows, fans and ventilation offer very little cooling to offset the heat, thereby creating an oven-like experience. As wellness advocates, EHF has made commitments to assist with the installation of a ceiling to create a healthy learning and working environment for the students and staff at the Arnold Road Basic School.
